Leica (Wetzlar, Germany) have always been pushing boundaries in the field of optics with their amazing design and an optical performance that provides its users with an outstanding experience. This year is, of course, no different – they have presented to the public a brand-new Leica Rangemaster CRF-2400R with a newly designed LED display and a Scan mode. This outstanding optical device will prove to be a great companion that fits easily into any sportsman’s pocket.
Leica implemented some nice upgrades. What stands out the most, compared to the previous model, is the distance measuring which has been increased to 2400 yards (2200 meters). The other main difference is the change of the LED display which offers an even better readability. The LED display automatically adjusts to the ambient light and ensures more precise and faster reading that is crucial for the use on the field. The speed of scanning has also been increased with this model. The scan time is now 0.3 seconds and that, of course, with maximum precision. For distance measurements up to 200 yards (meters), the Leica CRF 2400-R provides measuring results in decimal numbers, which makes them far more accurate.
Like its predecessor, the brand-new Leica Rangemaster 2400-R determines the equivalent horizontal range or EHR for hunting applications at distances up to 1100 meters if needed, which is especially useful for inclined shots during mountain hunts. Another great thing about this model is that it provides the practical angle-compensated distance which is crucial if you're striving towards a precise long-distance shot. With all these functions under its sleeve, the new Rangemaster is a true all-rounder and provides long-range shooters or hunters accurate data needed to make that ''perfect shot''.
It is worth mentioning that it weighs only 185 grams. A combination of an objective lens with a diameter of 24 mm and a 7x magnification ensures the best image brightness. The field of view is 347 feet or 115 meters on 1000 m.
