Swarovski Optik Acronyms

Swarovski marks their optical devices with various acronyms which indicate the presence of a certain feature. Our customers often send us questions regarding their meaning, which is why I have decided to do a list where I explain the meaning of each existing acronym that Swarovski uses for their products.

 

W – the device provides a wide-angle view

 

B – the device features twist-up eyecups

 

GA – the device features rubber armouring

 

L – the riflescope is mounted on the rifle with rings

Swarovski Z6i gen. 2 2-12x50 L is mounted on the rifle with rings

Swarovski Z6i gen. 2 2-12x50 L is mounted on the rifle with rings

SR – the riflescope has an SR rail for mounting purposes

Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24 with an SR rail

Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24 with an SR rail

 

P – the riflescope has a parallax turret (side focus)

Swarovski 1.7-13.3x42 P has a parallax turret

Swarovski 1.7-13.3x42 P has a parallax turret

BT – the riflescope comes with Swarovski BTF ballistic turret
