The first Ranger 10
Steiner launched the Ranger series of hunting riflescopes some time ago, and they quickly became a hit, offering excellent value for their price. The Ranger name gained widespread recognition among hunters, prompting Steiner to expand the lineup. Following the discontinuation of the original series, Steiner introduced the Ranger 6, Ranger 4, and subsequently, the Ranger 8 models, with the numerical designation indicating the scope’s zoom capability. Keeping pace with the latest industry trends, Steiner has now introduced a riflescope with a 10x zoom factor to the Ranger series, named the Ranger 10 1-10×24, which, for now, is the only model in this specific series.
With its wide magnification range starting at 1x, this riflescope adapts to various hunting styles, proving particularly ideal for driven hunts and stalking.
The difference between Ranger 8 1-8×24 and Ranger 10 1-10×24
The only distinction lies in the zoom factor. Boasting a 10x zoom factor, the Ranger 10 1-10×24 offers enhanced flexibility and facilitates greater precision for shots at extended ranges. The price of the Ranger 10 is set at 2499 €, which makes it around 600 € more expensive than the Ranger 8 1-8×24.
The future of the Ranger 10 series
As of March 2024, the Ranger 10 series comprises solely the 1-10×24 model. The burning question is whether Steiner plans to expand this line. According to what we were told, many customers have expressed a desire for a 2-20 model. While they’ve kept their plans under wraps for now, there was a hint that the wide-angle model might be joined by others Ranger 10 models in the future.
Availability and warranty
The Steiner Ranger 10 1-10×24 is already available for purchase and comes with a 10-year warranty period.
