So just to confirm, the RMS and RMSc have the same footprint? I’m trying to find the right plate for my optics-ready CZ P10c.
They have the same mounting standard, meaning that the dimensions of the mounting components are the same (distances between screw holes, sockets, etc.) The footprint is a little bit different, the width and length don’t match entirely. This is explained at the beginning of this article:
can somebody actually measure an RMSc optic? the dimensions on that diagram don’t make any sense, the front recoil lugs would be in front of the optic with those measurements
never mind, I assumed the arcs were on the same center
You should add the Vortex Defender to this list.
Thank you, Mike! We’ve added it.
Greetings, I have a Taurus TX-22 compact and am looking for a cost-effective micro optic. Some of the ones I’ve seen are more expensive than the gun.. WOW.
Anyway, I understand that it has a modified RMSc footprint. Not 100% sure what that means. I have a nice reflex on my carbines that I really like, and I did not blow all my saved up lunch money.. What is out there that will fit?
thanks Disbo
Greetings, Chris.
I do not have information about the optic cut on thar particular gun, but a couple of sources claim that it is compatible with Shield RMSc and Holosun K. If Holosun K fits directly, that means that the rear sockets in the cut (or the supplied plate, that depends) must be missing, so all dots with Shield RMS mounting standard + Holosun K sights fit on the cut without any further modifications. That is just my assumption, though. Contact Taurus for more information.
I also have a TX-22 and can confirm, the TX-22 doesn’t have the additional lugs behind the mounting bolts, just the two lugs that locate up front. I bought a Holosun 407K and it fit perfectly out of the box.
arent the holosun K models, and EPS models also rmsc?
No, they are a modification of the Shield RMSc. Holosun K models lack the rear sockets, while the front ones are shallower.

The EPS models have some additional modifications. They are, however, closer to the K models than the RMS models in terms of characteristics.
