Pulsar Telos XL50 and LRF XL50 Thermal Imaging Monoculars

This year, our marketing team made appearances at both the Shot Show and IWA fairs. Recognizing Pulsar as a leading manufacturer of thermal optics for hunting, we visited their displays at each event. While several new products were launched by Pulsar at the Shot Show in January, they saved some releases for IWA in March.

This article focuses on the expansion of the Telos line, introducing models equipped with XL sensors, a noteworthy update we’re excited to share. For insights into other Pulsar innovations, we have also provided overviews of the Merger LRF XP35 and the Axion XQ30 Pro in separate articles on our blog. To learn more about these products, we invite you to check out those summaries.

The upgradability concept

Pulsar is embracing sustainability with their Telos series by introducing a concept of upgradability. This innovative approach allows you to start with a Telos XQ model and later upgrade it to XG, XP, or XL versions. Additionally, there’s an option to incorporate a laser rangefinding compartment. To proceed with any of these upgrades, the device must be returned to Pulsar. After selecting the desired upgrade, you should communicate your choice to your local Pulsar dealer or distributor, who will then facilitate the return process.

Pulsar XL50 and LRF XL50 – other specifications

Having discussed the sensor specifications, let’s look at other features. The device is equipped with a 50mm germanium lens and offers a base magnification of 2.5x. Its housing, which accommodates both right- and left-handed users, is constructed from the same durable polymer as the rest of the Telos lineup. On the objective, there are two rings: the front ring is for focusing, while the second adjusts the digital zoom. The device has the capability to capture images, record videos, and connect to smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 app. It also boasts a substantial internal memory of 64 GB. Power is supplied by the LPS 7i battery, ensuring up to 7 hours of use.

Both models with and without the laser rangefinder (LRF) are available for purchase. Should you opt for the model without the LRF and later decide to incorporate the laser, the upgradability feature described earlier makes this feasible. The laser itself is designed to measure distances of up to 1000 meters.

Price and availability

The Telos models equipped with XL sensors represent the pinnacle of the Telos line, justifying their premium pricing. Designed to meet the needs of the most discerning hunters, the Telos XL will be priced at 4690 €, and the model with the laser rangefinder (LRF) will be available for 4990 €. Production is currently underway, indicating that they will soon be available for purchase. They come with a 3-year warranty period.
