Introduction
Night Pearl has decided to penetrate the market set up and dominated by Pulsar. Using Guide’s technology and a metal housing, Night Pearl’s new thermal clip-on attachments are sure to attract attention. Night Pearl, who has lately expanded its production, is a renowned optics manufacturer with vast knowledge in the field of night vision clip-ons – we are glad that they chose to “go thermal” in this field.

Features
Night Pearl introduced two devices in the Seer series, SEER 35 and SEER 50. The number indicates the diameter of the objective lens. There is a joystick-type knob on the side of the device. With it, the user can navigate through the menu and manipulate the settings. These devices are waterproof and can withstand the recoil of the strongest calibers. They are also relatively short and compact (the smaller model weighs 350 g while the bigger model weighs 400 g). The battery is supposed to last approx. 6 hours. Both devices feature an OLED display with a 1024×758 resolution and a sensor with a 384×288 resolution. When we tested the devices at IWA, we were thrilled with the quality of the image. SEER 35 and 50 are made in the Czech Republic.

Conclusion
This is a market that was created with the introduction of Pulsar Core devices. Up to now, Pulsar reigned alone in this market – there was no competition whatsoever. Recently, a few competitors have shown up. It will be interesting to see what the manufacturers will come up with to maintain dominance in this newly established market.
Night Pearl‘s service department is in Europe, meaning that sending the device in for repairs will not be a lengthy procedure. They come with a warranty period of 36 months. Night Pearl Seer thermal clip-on attachments are expected to be available for purchase somewhere towards the end of 2018.
