With Infiray Xclip CH250 V2, the user has to long-press the on/off button for 4 seconds until the manufacturer’s logo appears. We pressed the menu button as soon as the logo showed up and discovered that the menu appears even before the image does. That means that the device is ready to be used as soon as the image appears, as all functions are available at that exact time (the device is responsive to users’ actions).
As the image appears, the menu disappears, and reappears with the other icons a few milliseconds after. These are extremely short amounts of time, and you won’t even notice it.
Because the device doesn’t have the zoom button, we used the menu button, to show you the ready to use time. We tested the device and discovered that all functions were enabled when the menu started working.
The device responds as soon as we get the image, therefore the start up and ready to use times are the same.
For the Infiray Xclip CH250 V2, we used the generic insertable batteries, from the Panasonic brand. The device supports 3V batteries, therefore we used the Panasonic CR123, 3V batteries. Please note that the results might vary if you use different ones. The instruction manual also states that you shouldn’t use the rechargeable batteries.
The device is easy to handle, and the buttons are easy to press even if you are wearing gloves.
Infiray Xclip CH250 also has a Standby option, which is a remarkably useful battery-saving feature. With the press of the on/off button, the screen turns off and the device enters the Standby mode. To use the device again, you simply press the on/off button, and the display instantly appears. The device is also instantly responsive to users’ actions.
