At this year’s IWA 2024 fair in Nuremberg, Germany, which annually draws a wide range of exhibitors and businesses from around the globe, the InfiRay booth was noticeably active with visitors so we naturally stopped by. Not having encountered the company at the Shot Show in January, we were particularly interested in what they had prepared for IWA. Among the new products presented, the InfiRay Tube TS60 Thermal Riflescope caught our attention. Andraž from our marketing team talked to Quinten to learn more about the new device.
Technical Features of the TS60 Thermal Riflescope
The new TS60 is the company’s current flagship device, which means it comes with some impressive specifications. It features InfiRay’s own completely new thermal sensor with 1280×1024 pixels, a 12-micron pitch, and a NETD under 18 millikelvins and boasts an impressive 3100 m long detection range. The scope comes with a 60 mm lens, hence the name TS60.

The device has an option of adding an external laser rangefinder with ballistic calculation, which was installed on the model we were reviewing. However, the LRF is not included in the box and is available as an additional accessory. The TS60 has 2x base magnification with an option of 8x digital zoom. The 560×2560 round AMOLED display makes for a crisp and sharp image. Additionally, users can choose between 7 color palettes.

The device is powered by two batteries: an integrated 6600mAh battery and an additional 18650 rechargeable external battery with 3200mAh. The scope is designed to be primarily used with the external battery, while the integrated battery serves as a backup to prevent the scope from turning off during battery changes. The tube diameter is maintained at 30 mm, aligning with the widespread availability of conventional 30 mm scope mounting rings on the market, thus offering users a wide range of mounting options.
As expected, InfiRay TS60 comes equipped with all the smart features, including photo capturing and video recording. The photos and recordings are saved on the device’s internal 128 GB storage and can be shared with other smart devices or connected to a smartphone. Additionally, the scope can be directly connected to a computer via a USB-C port.

Finally, the device weighs approximately 1000 g and is IP67 rated, making it dust and waterproof. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -20°C to +50°C. The body is constructed from a high-quality aluminum alloy.
Availability and Price
Since the TS60 is the company’s latest flagship device, its price is set a bit higher, at just under 7000 €. While this may seem steep at first glance, the price is quite competitive and appealing when you consider the range of features the scope offers, especially in comparison with its direct competitors. InfiRay expects the TS60 to be available for purchase around May or June of this year, well before the summer of 2024.

It’s crucial to highlight that InfiRay has made no compromises in terms of build quality, materials, or technical components. They opted for a straightforward design approach and developed their own sensor technology, resulting in a device that is expected to definitely stand out among its counterparts.
