Hikmicro uses a new naming scheme for their Cheetah digital night vision devices. Letters C, F, R, N, S, and L are used. The naming depends on whether the device is a clip-on or a scope. More is explained below.
Hikmicro Cheetah clip-on naming
The following letters are used: C, F, R, N, and L.
C – the device belongs to the Cheetah series.
F – it has a sensor resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
R – The reticle is available; you can turn it on and off. If the letter R is not used in the name, the reticle is not available.
N – The wavelength of the light emitted by the IR illuminator is 940 nm. If the letter N is not used in the name, the device features an illuminator that emits light with a wavelength of 850 nm.
L – The device is equipped with a laser rangefinder.
The number used in the device’s name refers to the diameter of the objective lens (32 means that the diameter of the objective lens is 32 mm).

Hikmicro Cheetah scope naming
The following letters are used: C, F, S, N, and L.
C – the device belongs to the Cheetah series.
F – it has a sensor resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
S – The device is used as a stand-alone scope and features a reticle.
