The 3.1.001 firmware update follows in the footsteps of an update rolled out for their flagship Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro. It is intended to equip shooters with the capability to make use of ballistic calculations. Moreover, the new firmware also enables compatibility with the latest 1.0.3 version of the Stream Vision Ballistics mobile application.

Thermion 2 LRF XQ50 Pro and Thermion 2 LRF XG50 riflescopes both have an accurate laser rangefinder and a higher base magnification, making them ideal for precise aiming at greater distances. Understanding the ballistics is crucial for evaluating the bullet drop and adapting to different hunting conditions, so many users will find this update convenient.

What Comes With the New Update?

The latest 3.1.001 update provides users with a ballistic algorithm that allows for calculating the trajectory of a bullet. The suggested point of aim displays on the screen of the Thermion device and the distance markers appear near the reticle in the screen's center. To activate the function users must access the LRF settings in the main menu of their Thermion device. Moreover, Pulsar claims that they have updated and improved the overall functionality of the LRF.

Finally, the zoom transitioning has been significantly improved with the update, so switching between different zoom levels comes close to the experience of using optical zoom. Pulsar has also fine-tuned the zoom's step increment precision for a smoother viewing experience.

How to Pair the Device With Stream Vision App

In order to successfully pair the Thermion device with the newest version of the Stream Vision app, users will first have to activate the scope's Bluetooth connection. The new Stream Vision Ballistics app allows for creating numerous individual ballistic profiles and then loading them directly onto the Thermion device. After doing so, the device no longer needs to stay connected to the app to work, as the scope can perform calculations by itself.

SV Ballistics Firmware Update (Version 1.0.4)

Pulsar has recently announced a crucial update for Stream Vision Ballistics users. Some individuals using Samsung's S20, S21, S22, and S23 Ultra series phones had reported connection issues with the app.

Thankfully, with the release of the SV Ballistics firmware update (Version 1.0.4), these problems have been addressed. Beyond this connectivity fix, users can also anticipate enhancements to the user interface and other minor adjustments, ensuring a smoother experience overall.
