Aimpoint Micro T-1 vs. Micro H-1 | Optics Trade Debates

Welcome to Optics Trade debates. In each episode we talk about a different topic and try to answer the most common questions we receive about it. Today we are going to talk about the differences between T-1 and H-1 Aimpoint Micro red dots.

As the names of the products are suggesting, T-1 is meant for tactical and more professional usage, for more experienced and skilled users, while H-1 is designed for hunting usage.

Physically, there are no big differences in shape or size. We can notice that H-1 has a white logo and T-1 has a black, engraved logo.

When we compare general optical properties there is no main difference, but T-1‘s illumination is not as bright, making T-1 lower more suitable for night vision devices. There is also a difference in settings, T-1 has 4 out of 12 settings with very low intensity which are suitable for night vision, while H-1 has all 12 settings for daytime use.

T-1 and H-1 both have the same platform standard and the same mounting solution. You do not need a different mount, you can use the same mounting solution for T-1 and H-1 red dot.
